About Game
What if this year, instead of just popping chocolates out of an advent calendar, you solved puzzles? The Advent Puzzlehunt is a fun team challenge designed to make your wait for Christmas a whole lot more exciting. From December 1st to December 23rd, a new puzzle inspired by holiday traditions from around the world will be waiting for you in our online system every single day.
Play in a team of 1 to 5 players—with colleagues or friends over coffee, through your company or family chat, or even individually from your own homes. All you have to do is register, log in, and start puzzling! Each puzzle takes about 15 minutes to solve. It’s not about what you know; it’s about your creativity, sharp eye, and teamwork.
Compete with other teams and see who is the fastest and smartest on the leaderboard. But the main goal is to enjoy the advent season together in a new way. And feel free to pop out that advent calendar chocolate and enjoy it while you solve the tasks!
You can play in Czech or English. We’ve prepared both, and it’s up to you whether you solve the Czech or English version of the puzzle.
How the Game Works
- Every day from December 1st to December 23rd, a new puzzle will be unlocked in the game system. (Yes, even at the weekends!)
- You can play from a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. The puzzles are available in the game system and can be solved directly on your screen. If you prefer to solve with a pen and paper, you can download the puzzles as a PDF and print it out. For the puzzles marked with the printer icon in the game system, we strongly recommend printing the assignment.
- You can solve the codes at any time of day—at work, at home, or on the go.
- You’ll enter your solution (single-word password) into the system and know immediately if it’s correct.
- Track your progress! On the leaderboard, you can compare your team’s performance with others.
How Do We Get Started?
Step 1: Create a Team and Register
- To start playing, you need to register in the game system. If you have a QR code, simply scan it. If you don’t, you’ll need a registration code (this code connects you to the right company/group), which was provided by the person who purchased the game—typically your HR manager, team leader, or a friend who signed you up. You can find the codes (both QR and registration) on the poster or in the email you received when the advent game was ordered.
- You’ll play on teams of 1-5 people, and there’s no limit to the number of teams from a single company or group.
- You can register at any time—either now or even in November.
Step 2: Log In
- Once your team is registered, all members can log in to the game system.
- You can log in on multiple devices at once, using the same username and password that you share as a team.
- In the team settings, you can change your team name and add the names of individual players if you want them to be public.
- The first puzzle will appear in the game system early morning December 1st, 2025 (CET).
Step 3: Read the Rules Before You Play
- Please take a moment to read the rules carefully.
- We especially recommend you fully understand the scoring system. From our experience, the way game time is calculated can often surprise players!
